WINONA, Minn. – The Winona Planning Commission granted permission to logger Alex Langen to cut 40 oaks near St. Mary’s University. The vote was unanimous. The trees are on 38 acres owned Jason Burros. Burros said only about one tree per acre will be logged – no clear-cutting. Also, he said, off-road trails will be retained.
