VIROQUA, Wis. — A township dump truck was reported stolen near where fugitive Nathan Gossman disappeared after a police chase. Sheriff Roy Torgerson said there was evidence linking the theft to Gossman. The truck would be hard not to recognize. It was an oversize Ram 5500 with “Town of Wheatland” emblazoned on the doors. Torgerson said he had reports of sightings 10 miles away in DeSoto about 12:30 a.m. and 32 miles away in LaCrescent, Minnesota. It’s path had to be via LaCrosse into Minnesota. Gossman has connections in Canton, Lanesboro and Preston in of southeast Minnesota.
