WINONA, Minn. – The quarantine period has been shortened to five days after exposure to the CIVID disease, the county public health supervisor said. The period had been 14 days, but Melanie Tatge said the U.S. Centers for Disease Control updated the guidelines. To be sure, she added, monitoring will need to continue the full 14 days. Also, she said in an interview on radio station KWNO, persons exposed by someone they live with must still quarantine 14 days. So too for residents and worker in congregate settings like nursing homes.
