WABASHA, Minn. –A Rochester man arrested in a video traffic stop that went viral on social media was sentenced to 10 days in jail. Yasin Nasir Muhidin, 24, pleaded guilty to charges stemming from an attack on a man June 3 at Mac’s Place Campground near Mazeppa. Police were told that Muhidin punched the man and pointed a gun at him. Later Muhidin was located in Rochester in the area of 16th Street Northeast and North Broadway Avenue and arrested. He was surrounded by officers and squad cars in what was termed a “high-risk traffic stop.” For better or worse, it made good video on social media.
