WINONA, Minn.  – The Spring 2024 graduating class at Winona State University totaled 997 students – a 7% increase from a year earlier. Administrators hailed the increase as a signal of stronger retention. Put another way, it means fewer students dropped out enroute to a degree. The totals:

> Undergraduate degrees: 819.

> Master’s degrees: 113.

> Doctoral degrees: 50.

> Associate degrees: 15.

These are the diplomas awarded by each of the university’s five colleges:

> Business: 135, compared with 144 in Spring 2023.

> Engineering: 131, compared to 144.

 > Liberal Arts: 224, compared with 198,

 > Nursing and Health: 379, compared with 347.

> Science and Engineering: 131, compared with 127.
