ST. PAUL, Minn. – The state attorney general, Keith Ellison, ordered the Plainview Wellness Center to close. Ellison acted under Governor Tim Walz’s executive order that identified gyms as coronavirus hit spots and to close temporarily. Ellison said his staff had reached out to the Plainview gym to be sure its management knew about the executive order. The response: Go fly a kite. We’ll stay open anyway.

I’d much rather that everyone comply — but when it’s necessary to go to court to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect compliant businesses from unfair competition, I won’t hesitate to do so. ”
