FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Attendance at the Minnesota State Fair totaled 1.3 million — way short of the 2019 record 2.1 million. Authorities attributed the drop to widespread hesitancy about crowds due to the Covid delta variant. The fair was cancelled altogether in 2020 because of Covid. Also rain dampened 2021 attendance some days in the 12-day run.
