WINONA, Minn. – The state Health Department has sent 100 doses of Covid vaccine to Winona State and to Southeast Tech for students and staff. Melanie Tatge, county public health supervisor, said the campus supply is part of an outreach to inoculate younger people. In a radio interview on KWNO, Tatge noted that the 18-24 age group had the highest infections during last Covid surge. She encouraged students to get shots noweven if hey’re leaving town after spring classes. Local public health departments back home will have follow-up boosters, Tatge said.
