EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – School officials suspended a high school teacher, Todd Williams, pending developments in a child-porn possession case 30 miles away in Menomonie. The suspension was without pay. The school district said no Eau Claire students were involved. Williams taught Japanese and social studies the 1,400-enrollment at North High School. Students said Williams had been teaching at the school at least seven years. He was adviser to the school Japanese Club, which organized field trips and activities involving the language and culture of Japan.
