CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis.  — A 14-year-old boy was arraigned for the murder of 10-year-old Lily Peters in Chippewa Falls over the weekend. Because of his age, he was identified in court documents cents only as C.P-B. District Attorney Wade Newell said the juvenile admitted to punching the girl, striking her with a stick, strangling her to death  and then raping her. This was along a walking path. The girl had just left her aunt’s house to return to home. The boy followed her with the intent to rape and kill, Newell said at a news conference. Newall was asked about the relationship between the suspect and the victim.  He said he could not comment at this time. Judge Benjamin Lane set bond  at $1 million. Lily Peters was reported missing Sunday night after she failed to return home after visiting her aunt’s house a few blocks from her home. Chippewa Falls Police found her bike in the woods adjacent to the trail Sunday and discovered her body the next morning.
