HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – On the runway Winona County drag queen Utica wrapped herself in a yellow-themed medieval gown, which the judges praised in Episode 8 of Ru Paul’s television show “Drag Race.” Utica Queen, as well as all remaining nine competitors, survived the episode. Utica’s Old English gown was wrapped around a mostly red Scottish underdress that peeked from underneath and then trailed as Utica Queen sashayed and waved a yellow come-hither hanky.

A credentialed designer. Nobody can fault Utica Queen for lacking creativity that’s catchy. Hat upon hat upon hat.

Ethan and mum. Such a wonderment is Utica Queen, born as Nathan Mundt, to his mom. This is hardly what she expected on the farm near the western Winona County hamlet of Utica.
