LA CROSSE, Wis — The blog OnStage.com, edited for community theater and Broadway readers, named UW-La Crosse the best college theater program in Wisconsin. The site proclaimed that UW-L is doing “amazing things and giving their students fantastic preparation.” The ranking was drawn from students, educators parents, and alumni and looked at the quality of faculty, variety of curriculum, facilities, career support, performance opportunities and scholarships. UW-L theater chair Joe Anderson noted that the program has adapted to pandemic realities. “Our top priority in the classroom and during rehearsal has been to keep students engaged, as well as safe,” he said. > “War of the Worlds,” Adapted by Joe Landry from the H.G. Wells book and the 1938 Mercury Theater of the Air radio presentation.

> “It’s a Wonderful Life,” based on the. 1946 movie.

> “Influence,” written by LaCrosse impresario Greg Parmeter based on Moliere’s “The Misanthrope.”
