TOMAH, Wis. – A duplex, believed to be unoccupied, was destroyed in an early morning fire. Firefighters found no one in the ruins. Among 35 first-responders, there were no injuries. The first floor was a wall of flames when crews arrived about 2 a.m. The fire was on 1200 block of Kilbourn Avenue, a block east of U.S. Highway 12.
Only ruins remain. Cause of fire not apparent immediately.
