ANTIGO Wis. – The Raptor Education Center, where a wounded eagle is in veterinary care, posted a $3,000 reward for tips to whoever shot the bird last weekend in northwest Wisconsin. In addition, a second $3,000 has been pledged by people outraged at the shooting. Both the state Natural Resources Department and the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office are investigating. The bird, a fully grown female, was found wounded in remote Cooks Valley between Bloomer and Colfax.
