WINONA. Minn. – A wicked night with winter winds as strong as 50 mph has been forecast through the night in southeast Minnesota and contiguous sections of Wisconsin and Iowa. Conditions will be complicated by light snow that may reduce visibility at times nearly to zero, the National Weather Service said. Especially vulnerable are high-profile vehicles on the road. Think: Semi-trucks and buses. Expect loose things like garbage cans to go from where they’re supposed to be to who-knows-where.
