WINONA, Minn. – Winona High School will switch to distance learning after spring break in March. Spokesperson John Casper called the decision “proactive” – not required under state Co-Vid protocols. The goal, Casper said, is to prevent students from bringing the virus back to school from spring break destinations. He noted that local health officials have growing concern about the virus among high-schoolers. Spring break ends March 12. How long will the distance learning go mn? It depends on local Co-Vid levels, he said. “We really hope that we can be in person at the high school at some point this year.” All other schools will remain in their pre-spring break models following the break.
