WASHINGTON – The 2020 census found, no surprise, that Minnesota remans overwhemingly white – although less so. The population identifying as white alone slipped from 83.1% in 2010 to 76.3% in 2020. The population identifying as black alone increased from 5.1% to 6.9%. Those identifying solely as Hispanic or Latino alone rose from 4.7% to 6.1% and as Asian rose from 4.0% to 5.2%. American Indians held steady at 1%. The population identifying as two or more races but not as Hispanic or Latino increased from 1.9% to 4.1%. some urban breakdowns:
