WINONA, Minn. – Winona Health has established an audiology department and hired an audiologist, Kaitlyn Ostrowski, to get it up and running. The new department is a response to competition from the two-year-old Gundersen outpost in Winona, which brings in audiologists on a circuit out of Gundersen’s mother ship in LaCrosse. At Winona Health, Ostrowski will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for hearing loss including amplification, the Winona hospital-clinic announced. Ostrowski studied communication disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and holds a doctorate in audiology from the UW-Madison consortium at Stevens Point.
