ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man accused of robbery outside an Apache Mall shop agreed to plead guilty if a judge will go along with reducing the charge to second-degree assault.. Tamarick Shaffer, 23, originally was charged with first-degree aggravated robbery. The plea deal was announced just as a jury was being empaneled for a trial. Shaffer was arrested in April after a handgun was pointed at the clerk, who was chasing him and a friend out of the store.
