ST. PAUL, Minn. – The state Democratic chair, Ken Martin, lost no time criticizing Republican Dug Wardlow’s just-launched campaign for attorney general. Martin called Wardlow a right-wing extremist who will do anything for political power. Martin said that Wardlow has become only more extreme since he lost to Keith Ellison in 2018 for attorney general. Martin pointed to Wardlow’s ties to MyPillow manufacturer Mike Lindell, a close ally of President Trump. Martin’s underscore his swipe about Lindell: Wardlow provides legal advice to a man who wants to overturn a free and fair election. Coincidental or not, Lindell has said he wants the Republican nomination for governor.
