JIM FALLS, Wis. – A grass fire burned through eight acres, jumping from one farm to a neigboring farm. Chief Rick Schemenauer of the Anson Volunteer Fire Department said the call came in around 4:15 p.m. No injuries were reported. No buildings were damaged. The fire was along 152nd Avenue north of Jim Falls, 15 miles northeast of Chippewa Falls. Firefighters responded from Anson, Cadott, Chippewa and Cornell. The state NaturaL Resoucces Department was checking into the cause.
