WINONA, Minn. – What most Winonans hope is the last snowstorm of the season left 3.3 inches on the official gauge. To the west the falls were heavier – 8.5 to 9.3 around Rochester, although RST was 7.9 – still a record for March 16. Preston had 7.9 inches. Crews had difficulty removing snow and ice in the afternoon. Winona County sheriff’s officers responded to six reports of vehicles sliding off roads. They also rescued two occupants of a stuck school bus.
Earlier: Winter just keeps giving: 3-6 inches
