ROHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester schools superintendent, Michael Munoz, said his resignation effective June 30 will give the School Boad time to find a successor and ease the transition. Muniz resigned hnder pressure Tuesday after revelations of serial plagiarism. In a written statement, Munoz apologized “for making choices that have set a poor example for our students and have caused a distraction from our mission.” He listed major projects thst will need to be tackled by a successor:

> Four new schools.

> Hiring for key equity roles for an inclusive system.

> Boundary discussions.

> Major budget decisions.

> Finalize staffing for next year.
