WINONA, Minn. – Now that the Pfizer Covid vaccine has full government clearance, Saint Mary’s University is requiring all students and staff to either be fully vaccinated or to file for an exemption. The requirements is effective October 8. Pending this week’s full approval, the university had issued only a tepid “recommendation.” Ann Merchlewitz, senior vice president, said the campus vaccination rate is 85% to 90%.
