WILMAR, Minn. –A man serving 21years in prison for rLaping and terrorizing a St. Charles woman agreed to forgo a trial for a similar case in Willmar if no additional years were added to his prison time. In effect, Zane Peterson, 32, acknowledges there was sufficient evidence in the Willmar case to convict him. The Willmar charge, third-degree criminal sexual conduct, stemmed from an assault on a vulnerable adult man while Pederson was an employee at a group home. Peterson, formerly of Spicer, six miles from Willmar, is serving his time at the Stillwater State Prison on his February 2020  Winona County conviction in the St. Charles case.
