WINONA, Minn. – The chair of the business program at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Randall Skalberg, has been appointed dean of the Winona State University business college. As part of his UM-D duties Skalberg also taught at the Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College. Skalberg, who is 58, holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota, a master’s from Case Western Reserve, and bachelor’s in accounting and taxation from the University of Minnesota. At Winona State his salary is $177,500. Skalberg succeeds Hamid Akbari, who left after five years to become dean of business at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  In the interim, Winona State marketing prof Marianne Collins has been acting dean.
