WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State gold parking lot at 11th and Main streets has been blocked off to construct carports with solar roof panels. The university hopes to have the project complete by fall classes. The power-generating carports are part of a $12 million campus roject designed to pay for itself by cutting energy costs by 25%.
