WINONA, Minn. – Astronomer Jennifer Anderson is restarting her monthly public star-gazing sessions Thursday at the Winona State University observatory atop Minne Hall. Saturn and Jupiter are especially prominent in the night sky this fall, Anderson said. So too are Deep Sky objects — the Andromeda galaxy, the Ring nebula and the Hercules star cluster. Time: 7:30 p.m. Be prepared to climb a ladder, she said. Also: Wear sturdy shoes and a jacket because it’s cold and windy on the roof. If the sky is cloudy, Anderson has an indoor program alternative.
