LACROSSE, Wis. –Police arrested a man in a gang-rape case at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, according to the online campus police log. The log included no details. No charge was filed immediately. Meanwhile, the university issued a campus-wide alert about “a potential threat to the safety and well-being of those who live, work, study and visit the campus.” The victim had described being assaulted by five men. The police alert suggested that four if not all five men remained at large. Police described a vehicle believed involved: A medium gray four door sedan with Wisconsin license plates. Whether the description was drawn from surveillance video or came from the victim was unclear.
