WINONA, Minn. – For right now the city is not considering a vaccination or mask mandate, Mayor Scott Sherman said. He called the situation fluid. The city is monitoring the numbers and has thresholds in place that would trigger more intensive mitigation strategies, Sherman said in an interview on radio station KWNO. “If we hit those thresholds we will seriously consider what the next steps are,” he said. “At this time, we’re not seeing numbers that would put us into those ranges.” One threshold that trigger new precautionary steps would be if all the hospital intensive-care beds fill up, he said.
