WINONA, Minn. – Minnesota State College Southeast has completed two summer camps for high school students to explore technical and trade career options and get a feel for college.

> Explorers Camp, June 13-17, was a five-day residential experience with students living in dorms at Winona State University. Experiences included canoeing at Whitewater State Park.

> Camp Trade and Technology, June 21-23, focused on  career fields with sessions on machining, construction, electronics, mechatronics, auto body repair, and automotive tech.

Tuition was covered by Ashley Furniture of Arcadia and the related Ron and Joyce Wanek Foundation.

Field trip. Biology instructor Elizabeth Micheel led students to a nearby stream and pond to collect invertebrates and to collect water samples to determine the environmental health of the water.
