WAUKESHA, Wis.— The man accused of killing six people when he plowed his vehicle into a Christmas parade last year withdrew his insanity plea. The attorney for Darrell Brooks, 40, asked the judge to schedule a new status hearing. What Brooks’ new plea means was unclear. Brooks has been charged with 80 counts for the parade deaths and dozens of injuries. Originally he pleaded not guilty. In June he switched to not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. Nw he’s changed pleas again.
