WINONA, Minn. – The 700-seat Winona State auditorium where science education icon Bill Nye had been scheduled to speak was sold out so the university has changed the site to McCown gym. The gym would be outfitted to accommodate 2,000 people, said activities director George Micalone. The Nye visit is set for 7 p.m., November 1. The title for the appearance, titled “Unstoppable: Harnessing Science to Change the World.” will include a question-answer period moderated by a science faculty member, Micalone said.
