WAUKESHA, Wis. – A jury returned 76 guilty verdicts against the man accused of plowing his SUV through a Christmas parade crowd 11 months ago and killing six people and injuring dozens. Darrell Brooks calmly hung his head in his hands as the verdicts were read. Someone in the courtroom shouted: “Burn in hell, you piece of shit.” Under sentencing guidelines, Brooks, who is 40, could go to prison for six consecutive life sentences plus 859 years. The trial had taken four weeks. The jury deliberated three hours.
