WHITEHALL, Wis. – CoVid cases have tripled in largely rural Trempealeau County in the past two weeks – to 530, the highest since the pandemic began. Public health workers report being overwhelmed in tracing contacts. They’ve asked individuals who test positive to take the initiative and reach out personally to alert people with whom they’ve been in contact. The 530 figure, although alarming, doesn’t include cases that individuals have identified with home-test kits and not reported to authorities.
